Frequently asked questions
Self-hosted n8n or n8n Cloud?
Both work. Self-hosting keeps data on your side and costs less at high volume; n8n Cloud saves you from running a server.
What happens when a flow fails?
The flow retries, then alerts you with the failing step. Nothing is lost silently.
Can you connect a tool that n8n does not support?
Yes, through its API or by writing a dedicated n8n node, like n8n-nodes-opn.
